Lincoln Musicians Association

Representing Musicians in Lincoln since 1907

Local 463 is your community union — advocating for fair pay, better working conditions, and the musicians who make Lincoln's music scene thrive.

Who We Are

AFM Local 463 is Lincoln's Professional Musicians Union

The Local 463 charter was established in 1907 and has served Lincoln's musicians continuously since. We represent over 150 local musician members working together to protect our mutual interests, promote and conserve our craft, and enforce fair dealings in our profession.

Through collective bargaining, we accomplish far more than any individual player could alone: securing fair prices, improving working conditions, and ensuring every member has a team in their corner.

As a democratic, self-governing organization, our regulations and policies are shaped at monthly Board meetings and General meetings held three times a year — because the people who make the music should make the decisions.
